About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute creative, effective strategies for attracting top-tier Engineering talent
- Own sourcing to build and maintain a robust, consistent, and diverse candidate pipeline
- Track and analyze recruiting funnel metrics to improve speed, efficiency, and outcomes
- Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience at every touchpoint
- Partner with Engineering hiring managers and leaders to understand role requirements and advise on hiring strategy and decisions
- Challenge hiring-manager thinking and promote more creative talent-attraction approaches
- Monitor compensation, benefits, and talent-movement trends and share insights with People leadership
- Represent Snorkel at industry events and in the Bay Area talent community
- Coordinate interviews, deliver timely feedback, and ensure clear candidate and hiring-team communication
- Assess Engineering recruiting processes and drive operational improvements
- Partner with People and Engineering teams on onboarding and immigration support
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong focus on engineering roles within technology startups
- Demonstrated success recruiting in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments
- Strong familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area technical and engineering talent landscape
- Proven ability to source and attract passive candidates and build diverse, high-quality pipelines
- Proficiency with modern recruiting tools and platforms; Greenhouse, ModernLoop, and Gem preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build trust and credibility quickly, including coaching and constructively challenging hiring managers
- Deep understanding of engineering functions in tech startups, including hiring challenges, standards, and market dynamics
- Passion for building and promoting a diverse, inclusive workplace
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience recruiting across multiple engineering disciplines simultaneously in a scaling organization preferred
- Existing network within the Bay Area engineering community preferred
