Junior Designer
SNIPEBRIDGEArchitectural Designer creating architectural documents and collaborating on project teams at a San Francisco architecture firm. Seeking candidates with 0-3 years of experience and strong technical skills.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and develop architectural documents, including elevations, sections, and construction details using Archicad and other design software
- Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers to understand and adhere to project work plans and timelines
- Participate in all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction administration
- Coordinate with consultants and project team members to ensure design integrity and quality
- Create presentation materials, including renderings, models, and design drawings for client reviews
- Conduct research on building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and sustainable design practices
- Attend site visits and provide in-field support during construction phases
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive project deadlines
- Contribute creative design concepts and problem-solving approaches to project challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 0-3 years of professional experience post grad
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred (not required)
- Demonstrated expertise in SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards
- Strong technical drawing and detailing skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Interest in materiality, craftsmanship, and the integration of architecture with its environment
