About the role
- Provide leadership for the Shapiro Library's portfolio of licenses and oversee licensing and acquisition activities.
Negotiate favorable prices and terms of use for resources according to policy and strategic direction.
Collaborate across the University to ensure library licenses represent the rights and obligations for our library and learners.
Manage submission and communication with University Procurement, Contract Management, general counsel, vendors, and Information Security reviews.
Maintain accurate license and agreement provisions within library management systems (e.g., Folio and EBSCO Discovery Service).
Document and update licensing procedures, vendor agreement standards, and Folio license and agreement application procedures.
Support work across the Office of Knowledge Management and Information Science (OKMIS).
Requirements
- 2+ years of academic library experience that includes work with negotiation of licensing agreements, creating standards for vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with contracts, and library acquisition practices.
Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program
