About the role
- Develop and maintain a rolling 12–18-month supply plan inclusive of inventory, production, and cultivation plans for both internally produced and externally sourced products for assigned categories.
- Partner closely with schedulers and operations teams to ensure the release of optimal supply plans that maximize achievement of unconstrained demand.
- Generate the demand-driven rolling 16 week supply plan (weekly) and the demand-driven rolling 18 month unconstrained and constrained supply plans (monthly) as a part of the supply review process for assigned categories.
- Update and maintain data on key supply inputs to enable the end-to-end supply plan.
- Proactive identification and resolution or escalation of key supply risks to both constrained and unconstrained demand through the IBP (integrated business planning) process.
- Support the Supply Planning Manager with the generation of routine reports on adherence to monthly graded cultivation plans, adherence to weekly production plans, and adherence to inventory policy/ inventory coverage.
- Determine root causes of adherence gaps to monthly graded cultivation plans, weekly production plans, and inventory policy; and implement action plans to drive improvement.
- Lead the management of the slow moving and obsolete inventory process for assigned categories.
- Participate in the annual operating plan supply response and review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant fields
- A minimum of 3 years experience in supply planning/ production planning roles
- Advanced MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Supply planning experience in the cannabis, agri-food, and/ or CPG industries an asset
- Experience using relational databases, SQL and BI tools (Alteryx, Power BI) an asset
- Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Comfortable in a highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to multitask and balance competing time-sensitive priorities.
