About the role

  • Snapsheet exists to simplify claims using virtual estimating and claims management technology.
  • Join the Claims Management team developing Snapsheet Cloud SaaS product.
  • Manage and contribute to upcoming projects, including writing code in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coach and mentor a team of engineers and play an influential role in company growth.
  • Collaborate with other development teams, product management, and design to solve cross-domain problems.
  • Contribute to architecture, strategy, and technical decisions across the cloud platform.
  • Coordinate, scope, and execute on large scalability and feature initiatives.
  • Partner with internal recruitment to screen, interview, and hire top talent.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • 5+ years of full-stack web development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering manager, team lead, or lead developer-like role.
  • Experience designing and building APIs.
  • Experience designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases.
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and server-side performance.
  • Prior experience with back end languages; Ruby on Rails a plus.
  • Prior experience with front end web frameworks.
  • Comfortable writing code and contributing directly to technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, CloudFront, Javascript, Ruby, SQL, Rails, and React.
  • Experience with Slack, Jira, Atlassian, and Confluence.
