About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments
- Handle patient check-in and check-out
- Verify patient information and dental insurance eligibility
- Assist with insurance benefits, copays, deductibles, and patient balances
- Process payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Coordinate appointment reminders and patient follow-ups
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Communicate with patients, dentists, hygienists, and other dental staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Support general administrative and front-desk operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, or administrative professional in a US dental practice
- Strong knowledge of dental office workflows, scheduling, and terminology
- Experience with dental insurance verification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with computers and dental practice management systems
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- HIPAA knowledge or certification is a plus
- Experience with dental insurance verification and claims-related processes
- Experience using dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar platforms
- Previous experience working remotely in a dental setting is required
- Ability to work U.S. Eastern, Central, or Pacific Time
