Business Development Manager
SnapperBusiness Development Manager responsible for growing sales and revenue for Snapper’s Mosaiq platform across NZ and Australia. Engaging with transport authorities and operators to improve public transport network performance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities
- Own the full sales lifecycle from early engagement through to close
- Build and manage a strong, qualified pipeline within the transport and mobility sector
- Engage senior stakeholders across transport authorities, operators, and government agencies
- Shape solutions in collaboration with Product, Delivery, and Customer Success teams
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and procurement processes
- Lead commercial negotiations and support contract execution
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management using CRM systems
- Represent Snapper at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings across NZ and AU
- Provide market insights to inform product and commercial decisions
- Support go-to-market planning through customer and industry feedback
- Focus on long-term customer value and successful outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in business development or complex B2B sales roles (SaaS, transport, infrastructure, or data/analytics experience advantageous)
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience managing end-to-end, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers in government, enterprise, and transport sectors
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify, shape, and close commercial opportunities
- Excellent pipeline management skills and experience using CRM systems
- Strong proven capability in communication and influencing for business development
- Experience working within structured procurement environments
- Ability to operate confidently independently and still stay connected to the team
