About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner closely with Snap’s Engineering Security team to provide legal and strategic advice
Collaborate with stakeholders to help develop security policies
Ensure Snap’s data processing globally complies with privacy laws
Partner with Product Counsel on complex issues
Work with Snap’s Privacy Engineering team to improve privacy program
Analyze potential legal risks for new products
Conduct privacy due diligence reviews
Help draft descriptions of new products
Track and analyze proposed privacy legislation
Conduct periodic privacy and security trainings

Requirements

What you’ll need

J.D. from a nationally recognized law school
Active membership in at least one state bar
6+ years of experience practicing law
Experience counseling and working closely with Security teams
Deep understanding of global cybersecurity laws
Deep understanding of domestic and global privacy laws
Knowledge of existing and emerging artificial intelligence laws
In-house or law firm experience counseling clients on privacy
Excellent legal and business judgment
