About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides real-time engineering support for the operation of the distribution system including troubleshooting, testing and maintenance of the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) and other operational tools.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and a lead; manages projects of high complexity;
- Ensures that staff are trained and capable of meeting performance expectations;
- Provides engineering support for system outages or emergencies during both normal and after hours (includes on-call support).
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five or more (5+) years of progressively responsible relevant experience in the planning and operation of electric utility distribution systems;
- Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in the state of California.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License (CDL) and a satisfactory driving record (not more than two moving violations in the last two years).
