Battery Electric Machine Technology Manager
SMTBattery-Electric Machine Technology Manager overseeing support and optimization of battery-electric machinery portfolio. Acting as the technical lead, providing expertise and training across the business.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing expert technical support on battery-electric and hazardous-voltage systems
- Diagnosing and resolving complex issues across heavy equipment
- Developing and delivering specialist training on battery-electric machines and charging systems
- Supporting the planning and deployment of charging infrastructure and site readiness
- Acting as the subject matter expert for battery-electric technology
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues to strengthen technical capability
Requirements
What you’ll need- A technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive or Plant engineering
- Hazardous-voltage safety/competency certification
- Experience working with construction or heavy equipment (electric or hybrid preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- The ability to develop and deliver effective technical training
- Knowledge of charging infrastructure and site requirements
