About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the planning, organization, and execution of training initiatives across SMS group
  • Serve as a central point of contact for all training-related activities, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders, trainers, and participants
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of annual training plans and calendars
  • Facilitate the administrative collection and organization of training needs identified by department heads and subject matter experts
  • Coordinate and maintain training program schedules, curricula, course materials, and related documentation
  • Coordinate scheduling of training sessions, workshops, and seminars across multiple sites and time zones
  • Arrange facilities, equipment, catering, and technology requirements for in-person and virtual training events
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal stakeholders regarding program updates and changes
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and completion data within a learning management system (LMS)
  • Liaise with external training providers, consultants, and certification bodies to manage schedules and internal training needs
  • Assist in organizing hands-on, simulation-based, or site-specific technical training sessions as required by engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred; will consider relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a training coordination, administrative, or HR support role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize AI in verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic familiarity with technical or engineering concepts sufficient to effectively coordinate training programs within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical subject matter experts and translate program requirements into actionable coordination tasks
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and virtual training delivery tools
  • Knowledge of training evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model
  • Exposure to technical training programs involving equipment operation, process engineering, or skilled trades.
