💰 $49,860 - $116,340 per year
About the role
- Daily travel to locations in and around the Anchorage area, including the airport
- Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction
- Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field and provide customer training as required
- Document all inspections, maintenance and repair work and submit paperwork in a timely basis
- Order, install, and return parts and manage repair parts cycle time
- Review logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary
- Participate in Service Sales opportunities and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs
- Ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
- Assess product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements
- Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required
- Participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, and attend meetings as needed
- Maintain clear and concise business communication, both oral and written
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs
- Control and minimize costs and comply with company health, safety and environmental policies
- Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
- Travel, overtime and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical)/Military Training (equivalence through comparative work and life experience of >3 years is acceptable)
- Minimum of 5 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
- Possess basic technical knowledge on the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies
- Excellent communication skills and strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork
- Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times and willing & able to travel at short notice
- Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs and have full body mobility
- Must be confident in operation of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or other devices
- Ability to work safely in varied environments and around dangerous industrial equipment
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- May require supervision of others on a project basis
- Requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA; must pass federal background investigation; this position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance
