About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and proactively collaborate with Water Infrastructure team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
  • Detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems with a focus on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, motor control centres and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation and PLCs.
  • Provide technical reports and specifications for projects (design reports, functional descriptions, technical specifications)
  • Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Relevant 10+ years' experience in Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Engineering experience, ideally gained within the water sector or industrial plant
  • CHAZOP experience highly desirable
  • Familiarity with standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure
  • Design experience with knowledge of industry standards.
  • Strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA and LV design
  • Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008.1.1.
  • Experience with design software such as PowerCADis preferred
  • Well-developed communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
