About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and ancillary structures
- Prepare design calculations for gravity loads, live loads, wind, seismic, and thermal effects
- Contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design packages
- Perform quantity take‑offs and assist in bill of quantities (BOQ) preparation
- Support value engineering and alternative studies
- Apply relevant codes under supervision
- Follow company QA/QC procedures
- Draft technical notes, design reports, and basis‑of‑design summaries
- Develop and update structural models in analysis tools
- Produce and revise drawings in CAD/BIM platforms
- Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, material submittals, and method statement checks
- Participate in site visits and inspections with senior engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Licensed/registered Civil Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in bridge or structural engineering design
- Strong proficiency in structural software (e.g., MIDAS, STAAD)
- Solid understanding of geotechnical principles, materials engineering, and construction methods
