About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee end-to-end delivery of all Fractional COO, Fractional CFO, and Bookkeeping engagements, ensuring methodology consistency and client satisfaction across the portfolio.
- Directly manage, coach, and develop team leads and individual team members when needed; conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and capacity planning.
- Work with the COO to build, refine, and enforce standardized financial frameworks including P&L management, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet review for client engagements.
- Serve as escalation point for complex client financial situations; provide hands-on fractional support when required.
- Collaborate with the COO and senior leadership on fractional service product development, pricing, and operational scalability.
- Maintain business operating rhythms and systems within the fractionals team including scorecards and quarterly rock/boulder planning.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations and/or finance leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and analyze core financial statements: P&Ls, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Experience leading and managing teams of 5 or more direct reports in a company with $20M+ in annual revenue.
- Meaningful experience working with small-to-mid-market companies in the $10M–$15M revenue range, not solely enterprise or Fortune-level organizations.
- Commitment to consistent methodology delivery and client accountability frameworks.
- High professionalism, discretion, and executive presence when interfacing with law firm owners and senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
- Accounting or finance certification/background (CPA, CMA, or similar) is a plus. Prior experience in an EOS/Traction operating company is plus.
