About the role
- Work on everything that powers SmartFrame's image-streaming platform, focusing on backend and data systems
- Backend programming of bespoke solutions
- Optimizing search through adjustments to the current solution and providing novel ideas
- Creating data-processing and analysis solutions for internal and external use
- Providing intermediate data reports for further use in BI tools
- Integrating data from various sources into a data warehouse
- Apply creativity and intelligence to extract maximum value from data and build supporting tools and processes
- Collaborate within a fun, sociable, multinational team and contribute to a fast-growing company
Requirements
- Strong expertise in modern PHP development
- Extensive experience of SQL and relational database engines such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Excellent knowledge of ElasticSearch
- Familiarity with Doctrine ORM or other PHP-based ORMs
- Experience with Mezzio, Symfony, Laravel, Zend Framework, or an Express.js-based Node.js solution
- Proficiency in English and Polish
- Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented culture
- Plenty of passion and drive, and a genuine desire to make things better
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver to tight deadlines

- Up to date on big data and search solutions
- (Desirable) Knowledge of Python and TypeScript
- (Desirable) Experience with at least one MapReduce data processing framework such as Spark (PySpark) or Hive
- (Desirable) Experience with Hadoop-based projects
- (Desirable) Experience with Terraform
- (Desirable) Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue
- (Desirable) Experience with a data warehousing solution such as Snowflake or Firebolt
