About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the analysis and ongoing support of energy trading systems to ensure they meet complex and evolving business requirements
Oversee advanced troubleshooting and partner with technical teams to resolve system and data issues impacting trading and risk functions
Own system reference data management, ensuring strong data integrity, governance, and accuracy
Lead the design and execution of data migration and transformation initiatives to support business and system changes
Direct the development and enhancement of integrations between ETRM platforms and upstream and downstream systems
Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and IT, driving clarity and alignment on requirements and solutions
Educate and guide stakeholders to refine needs into actionable and well-defined requirements
Ensure documentation across business processes, system configurations, and technical specifications is complete and maintained
Design and support processes to monitor market activity and enable effective risk management practices
Ensure systems and processes align with applicable energy trading regulations and compliance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
10 or more years of experience in energy trading, risk management, and business analysis roles
Deep expertise in Energy Trading and Risk Management systems and related platforms, ideally across ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, and ISO NE markets
Experience supporting Renewable Energy Credits and Power Purchase Agreements
Experience working with or alongside QSE functions in ERCOT or market participant operations in PJM and NYISO
