About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the analysis and ongoing support of energy trading systems to ensure they meet complex and evolving business requirements
  • Oversee advanced troubleshooting and partner with technical teams to resolve system and data issues impacting trading and risk functions
  • Own system reference data management, ensuring strong data integrity, governance, and accuracy
  • Lead the design and execution of data migration and transformation initiatives to support business and system changes
  • Direct the development and enhancement of integrations between ETRM platforms and upstream and downstream systems
  • Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and IT, driving clarity and alignment on requirements and solutions
  • Educate and guide stakeholders to refine needs into actionable and well-defined requirements
  • Ensure documentation across business processes, system configurations, and technical specifications is complete and maintained
  • Design and support processes to monitor market activity and enable effective risk management practices
  • Ensure systems and processes align with applicable energy trading regulations and compliance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10 or more years of experience in energy trading, risk management, and business analysis roles
  • Deep expertise in Energy Trading and Risk Management systems and related platforms, ideally across ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, and ISO NE markets
  • Experience supporting Renewable Energy Credits and Power Purchase Agreements
  • Experience working with or alongside QSE functions in ERCOT or market participant operations in PJM and NYISO
