About the role
- Build and maintain tokens, components, and theming primitives that unify our Clinical AI products.
- Deliver polished UI, interaction, and motion design with particular strength in complex data visualization, dashboards, and shared metrics platforms that surface insights across multiple products.
- Write guidelines, document usage, and establish governance processes to ensure adoption and consistency across teams.
- Collaborate closely with front-end engineers on design-to-code pipelines, implementation, and deployment ensuring fidelity between design and code.
- Embed accessibility and responsiveness into system foundations to create inclusive, high-quality experiences.
- Champion the use of shared components and educate teams on how to leverage the system for speed and scalability.
- Own shared, cross-product experiences such as authentication, onboarding, product tours, support/help flows, and other foundational workflows that ensure consistency across SmarterDx products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with significant time spent on design systems and platform-level work (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
- 2+ years experience in healthcare or healthtech (RCM, EHR, billing, charting, or transcription tools strongly preferred)
- A portfolio that demonstrates system-level thinking as well as exceptional visual, interaction, and information-architecture work.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining design systems in production environments, including component design, theming, and governance.
- Experience designing dashboards and metrics displays, translating complex data into usable and intuitive interfaces.
- Strong experience collaborating with front-end engineers on implementation, deployment, and tooling.
- Comfort writing clear documentation and guidelines that scale adoption across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across design, engineering, and product.
