About the role
- Build and execute the retention strategy, making sure customers stay delighted long after their first box.
- Identify and improve product-led retention levers—from onboarding flows to subscription management to new feature adoption.
- Diagnose and act on churn signals, working closely with data, CX, and marketing to understand and address customer drop-off.
- Drive cross-functional execution, leading design, engineering, marketing & operations teams to deliver thoughtful solutions.
- Use experimentation, user feedback, and behavior analysis to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a product culture at Smalls—where insights, learning, and customer empathy guide how we build.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with a mix of subscription, consumer, or eCommerce.
- Comfort with retention and growth metrics (AOV, churn, LTV) and the ability to use them to shape strategy and prioritization.
- Hands-on experience running experiments and A/B testing, with strong analytical and hypothesis-driven problem solving.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and rallying stakeholders across engineering, design, and marketing.
- Strong communication skills—you can simplify complexity, inspire collaboration, and keep teams aligned.
- Bias for action, strong prioritization instincts, and a customer-first mindset.
- Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, and enjoy taking big ideas from concept to launch to iteration.
- Curious and collaborative—energized by exploring how things work and how they can be better.
