About the role

  • Tax support for domestic and international entities
  • Act as a sparring partner for colleagues and the Head of Tax
  • Support in structuring the international transfer pricing policy and in preparing transfer pricing documentation
  • Support internal projects (e.g., reorganizations, SAP rollout in foreign subsidiaries)
  • Handling tax audits, including payroll tax and VAT special audits
  • Advising the German group companies on VAT and income taxes (including payroll tax and withholding tax on capital income)
  • Calculating tax expense for local and international financial statements
  • Reviewing and preparing tax returns
  • Leading appeals procedures or initiating and supporting them
  • Delivering internal tax training sessions

Requirements

  • Degree in economics or law with a focus on taxation
  • Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in a tax advisory firm or in the tax department of an internationally oriented company
  • Sound knowledge of national and international tax law
  • Advantageous: successfully passed the tax advisor exam (Steuerberater)
  • Business-fluent English
  • Independent and reliable working style
  • Team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills
