About the role
- Cross-functional collaboration & alignment: Whether in a traditional or agile setting, you take responsibility for complex, cross-functional programs and projects.
- Governance standards & policies: You advance global governance standards, policies and methods along the master data lifecycle, introduce new approaches, and create scalable, company-wide foundations for sustainable and modern master data management.
- Data governance organization & framework: You are the central contact for group-wide data governance — from structures and methods to standards, policies and data architecture — and you work with business unit leadership to ensure governance and corporate strategy are aligned and developed with a future-oriented perspective.
- Enablement & cultural change: You empower business units, foster a company-wide data and governance culture, and actively support organizational change toward modern data governance.
- Data quality, tools & audit management: You establish and optimize efficient processes to ensure data quality across the entire lifecycle, leverage appropriate tools and monitoring mechanisms, and drive the further development of data processes so that quality, transparency and auditability are guaranteed at all times.
Requirements
- University degree (e.g., Business Informatics) or equivalent qualification through relevant professional experience in a data-related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data management or data-related roles, as well as adjacent areas such as strategy and process management
- Deep knowledge of core data systems, e.g., SAP or other ERP systems, complemented by experience with PIM, CRM or PLM systems, and ideally cloud-based data & analytics platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) and initial experience in the AI domain
- Solid expertise in developing data governance, data structures and data-related end-to-end processes — ideally in cross-functional (agile) teams
- Excellent skills in process and multi-project management, and a confident command of governance-relevant methods and tools
- A pronounced hands-on mentality, high quality standards, strategic thinking and an independent, structured way of working
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
