About the role

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including month-end close, general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to daily accounting operations, including direct involvement in revenue recognition, general ledger, and month-end close activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage consolidations across multiple entities within a PC-MSO structure.
  • Prepare financial packages and support investor and lender reporting.
  • Provide oversight of RCM processes for insurance-based revenue streams, including billing, collections, and reimbursement.
  • Oversee both the implementation and ongoing management of RCM systems and processes to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure proper claims submission, payment posting, and revenue recognition.
  • Review key performance metrics (e.g., DSO, denial rates, collections) and recommend process improvements.
  • Lead financial systems integration and process setup related to the PC-MSO and insurance-reimbursed lines of business.
  • Leverage automation and technology to enhance reporting accuracy, control, and scalability.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee NetSuite configuration, data integrity, and optimization to support new business models.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare accounting and reporting requirements, including payor arrangements and PC-MSO structures.
  • Support financial aspects of HIPAA, CPOM, and other regulatory compliance programs.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, and business leadership to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Maintain a “hands-on” approach with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • CPA required (active license preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience.
  • Strong background in healthcare services, with exposure to revenue cycle management and insurance reimbursement processes.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing systems for PC-MSO and multi-entity healthcare organizations.
  • Prior experience within telehealth, virtual care, or DME organizations strongly preferred.
  • Prior Big 4 public accounting and high-growth startup experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP and NetSuite ERP.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative communicator with a "no-ego," roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.
