About the role
- Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, companies, partnerships, and trusts
- Handle regulatory submissions such as Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR), and other ad-hoc compliance obligations
- Stay updated on financial and taxation regulations and legislation to ensure compliance
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to provide updates and address queries
- Ensure on-time lodgement of tax returns, regulatory submissions, and other compliance documents
- Perform other accounting and tax-related tasks as assigned, including audit support and advisory services
- Use relevant accounting and tax software (Xero, MYOB, ATO online services) to streamline processes
- Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Australian Tax Accountant
- Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements for sole traders, companies, partnerships, and trusts
- Ability to handle regulatory submissions such as FBT and TPAR and other ad-hoc compliance obligations
- Stay updated on Australian taxation regulations and legislation
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients
- Ensure on-time lodgement of tax returns and compliance documents
- Support audits or advisory services as required
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, ATO online services)
- High attention to detail and data-driven approach
