About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review commercial construction plans and blueprints
- Perform mechanical takeoffs and quantity takeoffs
- Identify and count HVAC units, equipment, and related mechanical components
- Prepare accurate equipment counts for manufacturers to generate quotes
- Assist with preparing and organizing project estimates
- Support the quoting process and learn company-specific estimating procedures
- Perform general administrative and data entry tasks using Microsoft Excel
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the estimating process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience with mechanical takeoffs or construction estimating
- Experience using PlanSwift
- Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn company-specific estimating and quoting processes
- Reliable, accurate, and able to work independently
