About the role

  • Lead the technical implementation of our web-based products.
  • Architect a new platform from scratch and help transform existing monolithic structures into a modern, scalable, and high-performance web environment.
  • Define the technology stack and engineering culture of the Web direction at Skylum.

Requirements

  • Proven Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Front-end development with a deep focus on React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
  • Greenfield Experience: Proven track record of building complex web products from scratch — from initial architecture to production launch.
  • Monolith Transformation: Solid experience in modularizing monolithic applications, implementing Micro-frontends (if applicable), or migrating legacy codebases to modern architectures.
  • Performance & Scale: Experience in building high-performance applications (60 FPS, heavy data processing, or canvas-based rendering).
  • Engineering Excellence: Strong knowledge of design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with Product Designers and C++ Core engineers to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with WebAssembly (Wasm), WebGL, or WebGPU; background in image/video processing tools.
