About the role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for defined product categories and suppliers
- Analyze and monitor national and international sourcing markets
- Identify, select, evaluate and develop suppliers in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Development
- Lead price, contract and framework negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Secure the supply chain through active risk management and sustainable supplier strategies
- Participate early in product development and optimization projects
- Identify cost-saving potentials and implement efficiency measures
- Support make-or-buy decisions and cross-functional projects
- Analyze and optimize material and information flows along the supply chain
- Maintain relevant master data in the ERP system and prepare purchasing-related reports
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an industrial environment
- Experience working with international suppliers and strong negotiation skills
- Very good knowledge of ERP systems and confident use of MS Office
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Analytical mindset, initiative and a structured way of working
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration in cross-functional teams
