About the role

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for defined product categories and suppliers
  • Analyze and monitor national and international sourcing markets
  • Identify, select, evaluate and develop suppliers in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Development
  • Lead price, contract and framework negotiations with national and international suppliers
  • Secure the supply chain through active risk management and sustainable supplier strategies
  • Participate early in product development and optimization projects
  • Identify cost-saving potentials and implement efficiency measures
  • Support make-or-buy decisions and cross-functional projects
  • Analyze and optimize material and information flows along the supply chain
  • Maintain relevant master data in the ERP system and prepare purchasing-related reports

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Experience working with international suppliers and strong negotiation skills
  • Very good knowledge of ERP systems and confident use of MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Analytical mindset, initiative and a structured way of working
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration in cross-functional teams
