Skylight is a technology startup based in Los Angeles and San Francisco making consumer products (Skylight Frame, Skylight Calendar) that connect loved ones.
Seeking a mid-level contract video editor to support Q4 paid social ad program by cutting user-generated video into performance ads.
Contract runs September 29 through end of December 2025; up to 40 hours per week.
A portfolio with paid Meta or TikTok ad samples is required for consideration.
Responsibilities include: cutting video into high-performing ads with Content Art Directors; monitoring performance data and iterating creative; staying on social trends and proposing opportunities; supporting Principal Content Art Director in briefing creators.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience
Experience in Adobe Premiere, with bonus points for experience in After Effects and the broader Adobe Creative Suite
Background in creating and working with high-quality user-generated content, and a portfolio to demonstrate those skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Highly collaborative, a self-starter, and low ego
Nice to have: Experience creating content for our demographic: parents of younger children
Nice to have: Experience working on paid social in a high-growth company or agency environment
Nice to have: General knowledge of Figma, Notion, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite
