About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead client discovery and strategy sessions to understand target audiences, brands, differentiators, service lines, and business objectives
Develop content strategies guiding website structure, messaging, and design
Incorporate SEO and LLM/answer-engine optimization into content planning
Assess existing websites, map content migrations, and identify content gaps
Create sitemaps, page hierarchies, URL structures, navigation, and wireframes
Design distinctive, polished, custom-feeling websites and own visual direction
Use AI-powered design tools while maintaining creative quality and originality
Produce front-end builds using AI-assisted development tools
Communicate functionality and technical requirements to developers
Collaborate with developers during implementation and review completed development
Present creative work, explain design strategy, and navigate client feedback
Maintain project status and documentation
Manage multiple website engagements while maintaining quality and deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in web design, interactive design, digital agency work, or comparable creative production
Exceptional web design portfolio demonstrating distinctive, polished, modern work
Meaningful experience designing consumer-facing healthcare websites
Strong understanding of healthcare practice marketing and patient conversion
Experience using AI-first design and development tools in everyday production
Strong website and content strategy skills
Understanding of SEO and LLM/answer-engine optimization practices
Experience developing professional sitemaps and wireframes
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ability to understand website functionality and communicate effectively with developers
Strong client presentation and consultative communication skills
Excellent written communication
Highly organized and comfortable managing several projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and pride in work
