About the role
- Lead customer storytelling initiatives across public safety, utilities, and national security
- Grow Skydio’s media relations efforts, proactively drive coverage in support of the company’s mission
- Execute the social media strategy across key platforms, amplifying customer wins and product milestones
- Partner cross-functionally with various departments to uncover powerful stories
- Support employee voices and build public profiles for internal experts
- Handle event communications including outreach and coverage
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in media relations in both traditional and new media
- Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex technology into narratives that resonate with broad audiences
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content performance, trendspotting, and audience engagement
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and execute with precision
- Passion for mission-driven technology and a desire to shape the narrative around autonomy, AI, and American manufacturing
- Experience in issues management
