About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full sales cycle for assigned categories or account segments, including prospecting, outreach, qualification, meetings, demos, negotiation, closing, and onboarding coordination.
- Build and execute a business development plan based on category potential, market dynamics, and exciting opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Skroutz marketplace, our e-commerce architecture, commercial tools, fulfillment capabilities, and overall partner value proposition.
- Become a subject matter expert on the needs, challenges, and success metrics of merchants within your assigned categories or territory.
- Deliver high-quality commercial discussions, tailoring the Skroutz value proposition to each merchant and handling objections effectively.
- Monitor the Greek retail and e-commerce market, relevant European marketplaces and category trends to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Category Management, Partner Success, Operations, Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing teams when needed to unlock opportunities or remove friction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- **We are looking for someone who:**
- - Has at least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, partnerships, e-commerce, marketplaces.
- - Has strong understanding of e-commerce, marketplaces and retail.
- - Communicates clearly and effectively in both Greek and English, with strong written and verbal skills.
- - Is analytical and data-driven, using reporting and performance metrics to prioritize opportunities and manage execution.
- - Is highly autonomous and curious, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- - Works effectively across teams while remaining highly independent in day-to-day execution.
- **We will appreciate it if you have:**
- - Knowledge of the Greek retail and e-commerce landscape and familiarity with relevant European marketplaces.
- - Curiosity and experience using AI tools to solve problems and create new ways of working.
