About the role
- Provide legal support to Fidelity companies and in-house contract groups on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactional matters
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transactional documents
- Identifying risk areas relating to transactions, as well as creative solutions to address risks while supporting business goals
- Applying, evaluating, and refining internal Fidelity transactional standards and practices
- Participating in and leading cross-functional working teams
- Forming strong, effective working relationships with your business and legal colleagues
Requirements
- J.D. required
- Strong academic background
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience
- Sophisticated in-house or major law firm experience preferred
- Relevant business experience in procurement or sell-side transactions in financial services preferred
- Significant transactional experience required, with experience negotiating technology development and licensing, broker dealer, advisor, or health care transactions and data protection and privacy provisions preferred
- Outstanding judgment and range
- Highly organized, self-motivated and self-directed
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills, adaptive to and effective for different audiences
- Outstanding advocacy and interpersonal skills
