About the role
- Manage a book of business of defined contribution.
- Be the primary contact for the client and work in a team structure.
- Manage, educate, and resolve client issues.
- Build relationships and meet the needs of Plan Sponsors.
- Analyze the client's investment architecture and provide appropriate alternatives.
- Facilitate discussions with clients regarding legal, regulatory and design issues across the plan.
Requirements
- College degree preferred or equivalent work-related experience.
- Series 7 & 63 must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
- 8+ years of Relationship Management or Client Service experience; preferably within Retirement/401K industry.
- Your retirement plan record keeping and administration experience.
- Your relationship management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Effective presentation skills, influence and negotiation skills.
- Ability to verify client agreement about the issues and options before implementing solutions.
- Ability to develop, manage and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong partnerships based on shared commitment to mutual goals.
- Ability to set the strategic direction for the plan and demonstrate ownership and accountability for the client relationship.
- Ability to act as the client’s 'trusted advisor'.
- Ability to plan and conduct effective in-person and/or phone meetings.
