About the role
- Hands-on owner of reporting and insights; partner directly with executives and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, actionable metrics
- Deliver reliable business reporting across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences; maintain trusted executive and team dashboards
- Write high-quality, performant SQL to analyze large, modeled datasets and answer ad-hoc questions
- Define and maintain KPI definitions and a clear metric catalog; ensure consistency across reporting and tools
- Investigate performance drivers through deep dives into marketing acquisition funnels, attribution models, retention/churn, cohorts, and engagement
- Act as the “first responder” for ad-hoc business questions; triage, size impact, and recommend next steps
- Partner with Data Engineering to understand lineage and semantics in the dbt modeling layer; flag data quality issues and help set DE priorities related to BI needs
- Establish lightweight BI processes (versioned queries, QA checks, documentation standards) to prepare for future analyst hires and scale with the business
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, and Product to translate data into decisions that drive acquisition, retention, and long-term growth
