About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Product Development Roller Bearing Units and Accessories have Global development responsibility regarding the product portfolio
  • Strengthen our future product portfolio related to housing and Accessories
  • Drive activities within the digitalization area to develop future modular design processes
  • Set up and conduct simulations to verify new designs and analyze tolerance settings
  • Develop, document and implement new design rules, to ensure cost efficiency while understanding the connection to product performance
  • Participate in and drive Product Development Projects ranging from Catalogue to Application / Customer Specific Offers
  • Plan, drive and report design requests and engineering tasks both locally and globally initiated
  • Drive investigations related to Engineering Changes to support risk assessment and decision making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master/ bachelor’s degree in the Mechanical Engineering field
  • Broad technical understanding and interest in machine elements design, casting knowledge and process
  • Good communication skills and proficient in English
  • Structured approach to problem solving, leading, and reporting progress
  • Skilled in product development techniques DFSS, DFMEA, DVVP etc.
  • Additional knowledge and expertise on casting will be added advantage
  • Experience in conducting simulations/testing and connect analysis to product performance and design rules
  • 3D modeling experience (PTC CREO preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Previous experiences from working in fields like Research and Development/or Application Engineering /or Bearing Development/or Manufacturing is beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Material and Heat Treatment expertise
