About the role

  • Monitor and analyze global spending, procurement costs, warehousing costs, and customs duties
  • Identify variances between actual spend and budget/forecasts
  • Consolidate and analyze spend data from various entities to identify synergy opportunities and negotiation leverage
  • Define and monitor global KPIs (Actual vs. Budget, Price Variance, Cost Avoidance, and Net Savings)
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, ensuring alignment between operational initiatives and group financial targets
  • Audit end-to-end processes to eliminate bottlenecks, standardize and digitalize workflows, and implement Lean methodologies
  • Act as the financial lead for make-vs-buy decisions, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, and supplier risk assessments
  • Partner with procurement to evaluate suppliers, ensuring contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Drive the optimization of processes and the implementation of advanced digital tools for real-time spend analytics
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and present actionable insights to leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or related field
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in operational controlling, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in S/4HANA and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI is a strong plus
  • Fluency in English is required (working in a multinational environment); additional languages are advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
  • A "challenger" mindset—the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive, data-driven feedback
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
