About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define Skello's product visual and interaction principles (product & design principles)
  • Build the Design System (DS) architecture: tokens, components, patterns, motion, accessibility
  • Define the standards that ensure the product's overall coherence
  • Document each component with its DOs & DON'Ts, use cases and anti-patterns
  • Train Product Strategists and Product Engineers in the use of the DS
  • Run adoption rituals (screen reviews, Q&A sessions, DS releases…)
  • Build and maintain DS components (Figma + Storybook) and ensure alignment between design and tech versions
  • Version, deprecate and evolve the library over time
  • Encode the DS so it can be consumed by agents: tokens, machine-readable guidelines, reference prompts
  • Ensure that 90% of screens can be generated by agents from the DS without manual rework
  • Design key screens (onboarding, AI-native paradigms, signature experiences)
  • Innovate on user experience patterns that define the product's modernity
  • Reinvent standards when existing patterns are no longer sufficient
  • Own the structure and visual/interactional coherence of the product as a whole
  • Detect deviations and correct them proactively
  • Make decisions on exceptional cases (when to step outside the system and when not to)
  • Use AI tools to accelerate the production of components and documentation
  • Apply a critical eye to agent-generated screens: approve, rework or reject to high standards
  • Bridge the gap between brand and product
  • Ensure the product creates emotion and builds brand preference
  • Align visual language across channels (in-app, marketing site, communications)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have built or maintained a Design System at scale
  • You are as comfortable in Figma as in Storybook and front-end code (hybrid design/front-end)
  • You think in components, scalability and dependencies before unit production
  • Your level of craft is high: visual and interactional excellence is non-negotiable
  • You understand what an AI agent can consume and you optimize for that
  • You can convince by quality and documentation, not by authority
  • Professional English
