Senior Test Engineer – Manager
Skeleton TechnologiesSenior Test Engineer/Manager overseeing testing strategy and execution at Skeleton Technologies. Supporting quality and safety in high-power energy storage solutions in Finland.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for products and systems
- Drive implementation of qualification programs (DV, PV) for customer and R&D projects
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing activities across EOL, EMC, vibration, and destructive testing
- Ensure test coverage, reliability, and alignment with product requirements
- Contribute to test method development and validation
- Analyse test data and provide root cause analysis for failures
- Design and implement testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies
- Develop and improve testing processes, documentation, and reporting practices
- Ensure safe operations in the testing laboratory in line with safety standards
- Support certification processes and compliance with industry standards
- Act as a technical lead and mentor for Test Engineers and Technicians
- Coordinate testing activities across different testing areas and teams
- Support resource planning and prioritization of testing work
- Work closely with R&D, product development, quality, and production teams
- Provide feedback from testing to support product improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Educational background in engineering (e.g. electrical, mechanical, or automation)
- Strong experience in product testing, validation, and failure analysis
- Experience in one or more testing domains (e.g. EMC, vibration, EOL, destructive testing)
- Several years of relevant experience in testing or product validation roles
- Understanding of testing standards and certification processes
- Ability to analyse complex technical data and drive conclusions
- Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills in English and Finnish
