About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Map and monitor the Brazilian and international regulatory environment, identifying risks and opportunities relevant to the business — with particular focus on the tax immunity thesis for books
Support the development of institutional legal theses, including the legal paper/memorial on tax immunity, in collaboration with in-house lawyers and external consultants
Manage relationships with local law firms in Brazil and, progressively, in international markets (LATAM and Europe)
Prepare legal opinions, analyses and regulatory defense materials for internal use, for the Board and in institutional forums
Contribute to the development of the Publishing Sector Self-Regulation Manifesto, supporting initiatives to combat piracy and tax-simulation practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree, with a strong interest in Tax, Constitutional or Regulatory Law
Analytical ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate conclusions clearly and strategically
Experience or interest in environments interfacing legal teams and institutional/government relations
Ability to manage multiple vendors and external law firms with organization and a strong sense of priorities
Collaborative profile, with willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of the publishing market, copyright law or the constitutional tax immunity thesis for books (desirable)
Experience with regulation of digital markets, technology or telecommunications (desirable)
Familiarity with the European regulatory environment (GDPR, DSA, digital VAT) or Latin American regulation (desirable)
