About the role

  • You are responsible for a defined portfolio of existing customers in the public sector and drive their strategic development.
  • Prospecting and winning new customers — from federal and state authorities to municipal utilities and public IT service providers — is part of your day-to-day work.
  • Account planning, stakeholder management up to C-level, and cross- and upselling are key to your success.
  • You confidently manage complex public tenders together with bid and presales teams.
  • You conduct contract and proposal negotiations with a focus on closing deals and ensure a smooth handover to the delivery teams.

Requirements

  • You have several years of sales experience in the public-sector environment and a proven track record in both acquisition and development of existing customers.
  • An established network in the public sector or experience with framework agreements and public procurement supports you in your work.
  • You are well familiar with public procurement procedures such as VgV, UVgO and EVB-IT and with using procurement portals.
  • You have a strong technical affinity for cloud and managed services, modern workplace solutions and cyber security.
  • You present confidently at C-level and have strong negotiation and presentation skills in German and English.
  • Knowledge or certifications in Microsoft/AWS sales, security, and standards such as GDPR or BSI C5 complete your profile.
