About the role

  • You manage and administer the central IT network infrastructure of our clients with a particular focus on firewalls and network security.
  • You work with technologies such as firewall systems, WAN connections, LAN, WLAN and SD WAN.
  • You ensure the life cycle of our security-relevant hardware components, including Cisco Classic and Meraki, Fortinet and Sophos, is consistently maintained.
  • In the event of network incidents you act as a point of contact for our clients. You analyze firewall logs, identify vulnerabilities and resolve issues quickly and reliably.
  • Configuration, rule-set management and continuous monitoring of firewalls are part of your daily duties, allowing you to make a significant contribution to securing customer infrastructures.
  • You actively contribute your firewall expertise to exciting IT projects and support the team as a network security expert.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience administering networks, particularly firewalls.
  • You are familiar with large network environments and handle the dynamic requirements of mid-market clients, especially in the area of firewalls and various connection technologies such as MPLS, VPN and SD WAN.
  • Technological developments motivate you — you are eager to continue your professional development.
  • You work independently and in a structured way, but are also a true team player with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent German and good English skills round off your profile.
