About the role
- Provide support with the operational building logistics service and review/implement SOPs
- Ensure organisational structure is relevant and correct equipment is available
- Lead and supervise teams, ensuring Chargehands carry out duties effectively
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure teams comply with safety and quality standards
- Ensure teams follow health, safety, environmental and quality protocols
- Support Buildings Logistics Manager to maintain KPIs, safe systems of work, DABs and day notes
- Mentor and train staff and deliver essential training
- Report observations and near misses and contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) CITB certificate (Managers and Professional standards)
- Excellent IT/ MS office skills
- Ability to deliver essential training and mentor staff
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build and develop a team
- Ability to deal calmly and confidently with demands from construction and clients
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience in reporting Observations and Near misses
- CSCS Card Manager Level (Black)
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
- Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (or working towards)
- Ability to provide 3-year work/unemployment/education history for vetting
- Must be able to obtain the HPC pass
- Evidence of right to work in the UK
