About the role
- Plan, forecast and execute day-to-day distribution operations across the entire Hinkley Point C site
- Develop and deliver complex logistics plans across the end-to-end supply chain
- Report to the Planning and Co-ordination Lead
- Collaborate with the Client's Logistics Organisation to agree feasible plans considering logistics capacity constraints
- Manage on-site capacity planning and forecasting for distribution and handling of permanent material
- Work with operational and digital team leads to ensure provision of data inputs into the logistics capacity plan
- Coordinate with on-site contractors to ensure a coherent logistics plan for all parties
- Collaborate with functional data owners (including the integrated planning team) to ensure data accuracy
- Ensure effective coordination and communication among operational team members to optimise planning activity
- Responsible for elements of KPI reporting (Capacity, receipting and distribution operations)
- Oversee a safe and compliant operation and operational team, meeting HSEPIs for Wilson James operations
Requirements
- Experience in generating safe and efficient plans against time and space constraints
- People leadership in a dynamic and unionised employment landscape
- Experience in Logistics planning and operations, especially for major capital projects or construction industry
- Strong data analytics; inquisitive with ability to identify patterns and constraints
- Clear and effective communication with internal and external teams
- Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, change management, cost management and risk management techniques
- CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate (MAPS) – must be obtained before the start date
- Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
- Ability to provide a 3-year work/unemployment/education history for vetting
- Ability to obtain the HPC pass
- Evidence of right to work in the UK

- (Desirable) Transport operations qualification
- (Desirable) Logistics or supply chain planning tools
- (Desirable) Power BI/DOMO (Business Intelligence Analytics)
