About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Orchestrate the planning, coordination, and delivery of software releases across product, engineering, QA, and support teams
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate release schedules
- Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and support teams
- Coordinate testing, staging, and production environments
- Audit, collaborate on, and oversee the generation and delivery of release notes
- Communicate release updates to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Establish best practices and processes for release management
- Oversee post-release activities, including monitoring and troubleshooting
- Advocate for continuous improvement and innovation in release operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience
- 5+ years’ experience in software release management, preferably within a SaaS environment
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps preferred
- Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exposure to ITIL or other release/change management frameworks; relevant certifications are a plus.
