About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform end-to-end management of construction and reserve draw requests for a diverse commercial real estate loan portfolio
  • Process borrower consents, financial analysis, and other ad hoc asset management duties within the contracted scope of service
  • Review draw packages, coordinate missing borrower information, confirm disbursement conditions, and communicate deficiencies to lenders
  • Manage borrower consent requests, collect required documents, confirm package completion, and coordinate co-lender approvals
  • Monitor capital sources and uses and coordinate resolution of loan imbalances with borrowers
  • Review TI/LC allowances and change orders for compliance with loan documentation and leases
  • Analyze and prepare lender approval recommendations for construction or disbursement items
  • Review invoices and lien waivers
  • Order and review inspection reports and title updates, endorsements, and date downs
  • Update budget trackers and confirm required hard- and soft-cost contingencies
  • Collaborate with asset management, loan management, team members, and other departments to deliver accurate and timely client deliverables
  • Correspond with sponsors and borrowers regarding capital expenditure projects, leasing progress, and construction status
  • Support AMS VPs with daily responsibilities
  • Reconcile and review portfolio statistics, remittance reconciliations, and draw trackers
  • Complete work according to documented processes, internal controls, and audit procedures
  • Escalate non-compliant issues to senior leadership and support resolution
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred field of study: real estate, finance/accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent
  • Experience in commercial real estate and debt or equity asset management preferred
  • Proficiency with major property types: office, industrial, retail, multifamily
  • Basic knowledge of specialty property types: hotels and condominiums
  • Basic knowledge of CRE principles including underwriting, loan servicing and treasury practices
  • Proficient with IRRs, NPVs, DSCRs, DY, NOI/NCF
  • Basic knowledge of transitional, development, pre-development, repositioning, and stabilized properties
  • Basic knowledge of complex debt positions including participations, syndications, CLOs, senior and mezzanine debt, warehouse and repo lines
  • Ability to create complex financial models in Excel or similar programs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment running multiple tasks under tight deadlines
