About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, influencing their business and marketing strategy at the enterprise level — not just campaign execution — and positioning Situation as an indispensable strategic partner.
  • Materially strengthen Situation's financial trajectory by expanding portfolio revenue and margin, converting new business opportunities, and architecting partnership models that create durable, long-term value.
  • Build and develop a high-performing account services team, cultivating the next generation of agency leaders and establishing a leadership bench that scales with the business.
  • Define and steward the overarching business and marketing strategy for the client portfolio, ensuring every initiative ladders up to clients' enterprise objectives and long-range growth ambitions.
  • Own the commercial health of the portfolio — revenue forecasting, margin performance, pacing, and budget stewardship — driving accountability through direct reports while maintaining executive-level visibility into financial outcomes.
  • Elevate the strategic and leadership capabilities of the account team, developing direct reports into client-facing leaders who strengthen Situation's reputation and expand the agency's capacity for senior-level counsel.
  • Represent Situation externally as a senior voice of the agency — at industry events, in client conference rooms, and among key decision-makers — to cultivate relationships that generate future business.
  • Architect organic growth strategies across existing clients, identifying whitespace opportunities, expanding scopes of work, and empowering direct reports to pursue and close incremental growth.
  • Contribute to Situation's market positioning and thought leadership, authoring perspectives and participating in external communications that establish the agency as the definitive strategic partner in its verticals.
  • Partner across departments and verticals as a member of senior leadership to identify new revenue streams, improve operating systems, and drive cultural and organizational innovation agency-wide.

  • Demonstrated success growing existing accounts — identifying whitespace and expanding scopes of work
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams, including hiring and coaching mid-level managers into senior client-facing leaders.
