About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop full-stack features using Python/FastAPI or Django and React/TypeScript
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
  • Develop reusable UI components and integrate them with backend services
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical design decisions
  • Develop microservices using domain-driven design and 12-factor app principles
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization
  • Optimize SQL/NoSQL queries, manage database migrations, and design data models
  • Integrate third-party APIs, HL7/FHIR standards, and clinical data systems
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities and maintain requirements-to-code traceability
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
  • Work in Agile/Scrum sprints and contribute to planning, grooming, and retrospectives
  • Partner with QA on test planning, defect triage, and release readiness
  • Document technical designs, API specifications, and runbooks
  • Mentor junior developers and support onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python 3.10+ and FastAPI or Django REST Framework
  • Solid experience with React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and query optimization
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS or Azure and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and JIRA
  • Preferred: experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare IT, or regulated software environments
  • Preferred: exposure to CDISC, HL7 FHIR, or EDC/CTMS platforms
  • Preferred: Kafka or RabbitMQ event-driven architecture experience
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Developer or equivalent cloud certification
  • Preferred: Python data science ecosystem, AI/ML, or LLM-powered enterprise features
  • Preferred: open-source contributions or published technical content
