About the role
- Administer full-cycle payroll processes for US and global operations using ADP and Vistra, ensuring timely and accurate payroll submission.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in a multi-state environment.
- Manage employee data including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation or benefits; assist People Operations with benefits enrollment.
- Liaise with 401k administrator and work with external auditors on the 401k annual audit.
- Respond to employee questions about wages, taxes, and deductions; monitor payroll inbox and own all payroll communications.
- Process reports to analyze payroll data and record payroll-related journal entries.
- Own full-cycle accounts receivable: customer onboarding, invoicing (including uploading invoices to customer platforms), billing schedules, and sales tax compliance and filings.
- Manage cash applications in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy of all customer payments and financial records.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition by reviewing contracts, maintaining deferred revenue schedules, and supporting month-end close.
- Partner cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and other departments to resolve billing issues and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize NetSuite to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain accurate financial records; monitor AR inbox and own AR communications.
- Support and implement process improvement and automation projects and other special projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll experience.
- International payroll processing experience a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems; ADP experience required.
- Payroll certification (e.g., CPP or equivalent) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606), accounts receivable, and customer billing.
- Experience with accounting software, including NetSuite, a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness/ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
