About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build relationships and maintain a positive retail experience with National Retail customers in the Cincinnati/Louisville/Indianapolis territory
  • Coordinate with branch and company teams to profitably grow the business
  • Maintain positive local customer relationships
  • Execute National Retail customer-specific projects and assigned objectives
  • Participate in territory training sessions
  • Support sales strategies and programs with National Retail Regional Managers
  • Communicate trends and field intelligence to management to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Call on existing National Retail customers at store level
  • Install and maintain marketing materials, cross-merchandising areas, displays, and point-of-purchase materials
  • Serve as primary contact for store-level merchandising, floor associate, and management teams
  • Plan and execute store-level training
  • Coordinate territory projects, initiatives, and opportunities with regional managers and field sales personnel
  • Manage CRM usage, scheduling, business planning, expense reports, company vehicles, and customer performance software/apps

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of related experience in retail merchandising and/or sales
  • National Accounts experience and/or business or marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to build and sustain productive customer relationships
  • Ability to identify required actions and take initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and reallocate resources
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and convincingly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Ability to safely use common construction tools, including a hammer and drill
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Accountability and dependability
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer
  • 25% domestic travel required
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
