About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Grow Home Center and Co-op sales in the UT/ID/MT territory
- Coordinate with branch and company teams to profitably grow the business
- Create and maintain positive customer relationships
- Execute National Retail customer-specific projects and complete objectives directed by National and Regional teams
- Lead and participate in training sessions, including scheduling, promotion, setup, presentation, takedown, observation, and improvement suggestions
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, Marketing, and TSRs on sales strategies and programs
- Communicate market trends and field intelligence to Management and Operations
- Build and maintain store- and regional-level relationships with customers and service channels
- Prepare and present store- and regional-level POS activity to key decision makers
- Create and coordinate National Retail programs and projects focused on increasing territory sales and profitability
- Track and analyze POS numbers and adjust programs for effectiveness
- Communicate Home Center needs and resolve customer concerns with other departments
- Install and maintain marketing materials, identify cross-merchandising opportunities, and explain pricing programs and promotions
- Demonstrate product installation procedures and deliver educational presentations and workshops
- Partner with territory sales team members to provide customer service and support
- Maintain knowledge of local building codes, requirements, and common practices
- Manage CRM usage, scheduling, business planning, expense reports, company-owned vehicle maintenance, and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of related experience in retail construction sales and/or training
- National Accounts experience and/or business or marketing experience preferred
- Ability to gain product knowledge and become a trusted resource for Simpson products and solutions
- Ability to develop and present captivating presentations
- Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficient knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Proficient knowledge of SAP ERP
- Ability to learn new systems in a timely manner
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
- Successful drug screen and criminal background check required for employment
