About the role

  • Serve as the enterprise steward of Organon’s corporate reputation, driving an integrated strategy that protects, strengthens, and amplifies the Organon narrative across internal and external audiences
  • Build and evolve Organon’s corporate identity and reputation platform, ensuring consistency in voice, narrative, and positioning across all channels and markets
  • Lead the strategic planning and orchestration of milestone, news, and high-visibility moments, ensuring communications are timely, accurate, risk-aware, and aligned to enterprise priorities
  • Anticipate reputational risks and opportunities; develop proactive and reactive strategies to navigate sensitive or high-impact moments that may influence Organon’s standing with employees, media, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Markets and Regional Communications to ensure the global corporate narrative is consistently reflected, while supporting localized execution that enhances Organon’s reputation on the ground
  • Oversee development of enterprise-level thought leadership, corporate storytelling, signature content, and channel strategy that elevate Organon’s leadership
  • Lead Organon’s integrated external communications ecosystem — spanning media relations, digital channels, social platforms, corporate web presence, and owned storytelling — ensuring all external touchpoints reinforce and protect the company’s corporate reputation
  • Set the enterprise editorial agenda and overarching content strategy, ensuring message discipline, clarity, and alignment across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels
  • Navigate complex news cycles, milestone moments, regulatory environments, and high-visibility announcements with strategic foresight, ensuring Organon is consistently positioned accurately, responsibly, and advantageously in the public domain
  • Oversee development of message platforms, holding statements, executive talking points, thought leadership content, and digital narratives that communicate Organon’s strategy, purpose, scientific impact, and transformation
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with priority journalists, digital opinion leaders, influencers, and media outlets to elevate Organon’s voice and leadership in women’s health and broader healthcare
  • Direct social media risk assessment, escalation protocols, community management guidance, and real-time monitoring to anticipate reputational threats and activate rapid-response strategies when needed
  • Guide and govern storytelling across internal and external channels in partnership with the internal communications team reporting into this role, ensuring all content ladders up to a unified, enterprise reputation strategy
  • Collaborate with Regional and Market Communications to ensure global messages are adapted appropriately for local context while preserving the integrity of Organon’s corporate positioning
  • Leverage analytics, insights, and performance data to continuously strengthen message resonance, narrative consistency, and channel effectiveness across the entire communications ecosystem
  • Lead and develop the Executive Communications and Internal Communications teams, ensuring their work is strategically connected and reinforcing a cohesive, enterprise-wide reputation strategy
  • Set clear priorities and operating rhythms for the internal team, ensuring integrated planning, alignment, and flawless execution across enterprise, functional, external, and internal communication moments
  • Drive seamless coordination across all communication touchpoints—internal, external, media, digital, leadership platforms—to ensure that messaging is consistent, timely, and strengthens Organon’s corporate identity and reputation
  • Serve as a senior advisor to leaders across the business, offering strategic counsel on change communications, transformation efforts, organizational updates, and issues that impact culture, engagement, and external perception

Requirements

  • B.A. degree
  • Fifteen plus years of progressive experience in corporate communications within healthcare, life sciences, or a similarly complex and regulated industry, including leadership responsibility
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-level corporate reputation strategy, including stewardship of narrative, reputation protection, crisis readiness, and executive visibility
  • Deep expertise in integrated communications, spanning media relations, digital and social platforms, internal communications, change communications, and executive communications — with demonstrated success unifying these into a cohesive enterprise strategy
  • Extensive experience navigating high-visibility business, regulatory, scientific, and corporate milestone moments, ensuring accurate, timely, risk-aware positioning across all channels
  • Demonstrated excellence as a senior spokesperson, including managing complex or sensitive media inquiries, issues response, and high-stakes external engagements
  • Experienced leader of high-performing teams, including coaching, capability-building, talent development, and establishing operational rhythm and governance across multiple communications disciplines
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with a proven ability to simplify complex science, strategy, and business concepts for diverse internal and external audiences
  • Experience overseeing editorial strategy, message platforms, and thought leadership, including developing content for executives, external publications, and owned channels
  • Strong command of digital media analytics, insight-driven planning, and modern communications tools to guide content strategy and measure impact across channels
  • Demonstrated success leading crisis and issues management, including rapid assessment, response strategy, cross-functional coordination, and media/digital activation
  • Operational excellence, including budget oversight, agency management, process governance, and establishing communications systems that scale
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and agility under changing conditions and tight timelines
